City Dwellers is an exhibition that examines what it means to live in a city. The show will explore how buildings, people, amenities and infrastructure shape the urban fabric of a city and ultimately affect our happiness and sense of community.
City Dwellers features architectural installations, educational text and integrated product design to illustrate how and why we live in cities. Urban design is discussed and illustrated through the first person experience: the places we live, the routine of our daily lives and the impact that spaces have on our lives. The viewer is invited to explore the private and public realms of urban dwelling and discover what it means to be part of a city’s vibrant fabric.
“Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody.” - Jane Jacobs
